Job summary

IonQ in the United States is seeking a Quantum Success Engineer to join a cross-functional team. You will support users of IonQ's quantum computers from onboarding to advanced feature usage, becoming an expert on the IonQ Quantum Cloud experience and workflow execution.

You will translate complex technical concepts for business and technical stakeholders, assist with onboarding, collect feedback, and help drive improvements to our platform while partnering with software and systems teams.

Qualifications

MS in Physics, CS, or related field, with computational focus.
5+ years in technical customer-facing roles or equivalent.
Experience in user support, developer relations, solutions engineering, or similar roles.
Hands-on experience with Python and Jupyter Notebook, Google Colab.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders and technical subject matter experts.

Responsibilities

Become a subject matter expert on IonQ’s user-facing quantum computing software and ecosystem.
Answer user questions, troubleshoot incidents, and serve as primary interface between customers and operations teams.
Provide technical guidance on platform administration, software integration, and workflow orchestration.
Facilitate onboarding sessions to help new users get up and running on IonQ systems.
Collect customer feedback, identify blockers, and advocate for customer-driven improvements.
Contribute to developer documentation, training materials, and new feature demos.
Support development of internal tools and metrics to monitor customer usage.
Participate in on-site engagements, conferences, and other events to connect with customers.
