Job summary

Ceetech, part of the RSK Group, is seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to support commercial management of M&E projects across our service areas.

The successful candidate will handle contract administration, valuations, variations, claims and financial reporting, and will work closely with clients, supply chains and project teams. A degree in QS and 3-5+ years of experience are expected, with strong Excel and measurement software skills.

• Strong knowledge of MEP, construction law and JCT/NEC contracts.

Job description

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Ceetech, an RSK Group company. This is a full time and permanent position that would suit someone who is ready to dive further into their career with a team of industry experts.

Ceetech are a mechanical, electrical and maintenance services company operation across East Anglia, the Home Counties and the Greater London area. Ceetech have established themselves as one of the leading building services contractors integrating not just mechanical and electrical installations, but those that make use of renewable energy sources too.

We are seeking an M&E Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in the commercial management and delivery of M&E projects, overseeing contract administration, valuations, variations, claims and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will have strong commercial and post-contract experience, with a solid understanding of MEP systems, construction law and standard industry contracts such as JCT and NEC. They will be highly numerate, commercially aware and confident in negotiation, with excellent IT skills including proficiency in Excel and measurement software, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, supply chains and multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Contract Administration: Review contract conditions, and administer commercial documentation/notices throughout the project.
• Valuation: Manage the application process, and evaluate interim payments.
• Variations & Claims: Identify, price, and negotiate variations or change orders with clients and supply chains.
• Financial Reporting: Undertake monthly cost-value reconciliation (CVR), cash flow tracking, and forecasting.

Qualifications And Experience

• Education: Degree or technical qualification in Quantity Surveying, Building Services, or a related technical field.
• Experience: [3-5+ years] of commercial and post-contract experience focused on M&E work packages.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of MEP systems, construction law, and standard industry contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).
