IMC Trading in Illinois offers a 10-week trading internship designed to immerse you in the life of a trader through comprehensive training and hands-on project work. You’ll be mentored by trained professionals and peers, with support from dedicated trainers to accelerate your professional development.

Throughout the program you’ll partner with traders and technologists on real projects, sharpen analytical and teamwork skills, and engage in events to build connections within the firm.

Qualifications

• Current university student pursuing a quantitative degree; graduating between Sep 2027 and Jul 2028.
• Strong analytical skills and a desire to learn.
• Thrives in fast-paced environments; willing to take responsibility and ask questions.
• Team-oriented with proactive mindset; interest in financial markets (no prior knowledge required).
• Programming experience is a plus (Python/Matlab/R).

Responsibilities

• Participate in classroom-based training covering options theory and trading simulations.
• Team with traders and technologists on real projects impacting the business.
• Develop skills with mentor-led summer program and feedback sessions.
• Build connections in a collaborative environment that rewards problem solving and teamwork.
• Attend professional development sessions to envision future at IMC.
