Job summary

IMC Trading offers a 10-week internship for aspiring Quant Researchers in Chicago. You will work with a mentor to explore new research ideas and build custom analysis tools that could be deployed into production.

Throughout the program you will deepen knowledge of options theory, market making, algorithm complexity and trades analysis, with opportunities to secure a full-time Graduate Quant Researcher position after the internship.

Qualifications

• Current university student graduating between September 2027 - July 2028 pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in mathematics, engineering, statistics, physics, computer science or another highly quantitative field.
• Strong numerical, analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Passion for research and solving complex problems.
• Creative thinker driven, resilient, and eager to develop trading intuition.
• Experience in Python, C, or C++ is highly desired.
• Must be able to start internship in-person on June 7, 2027.
