Job summary

IMC Trading offers a 10-week Software Engineer internship in the United States (Illinois) with classroom trainings, mentorship, and hands-on project work designed to accelerate your development. You’ll interact with traders and technologists in a collaborative setting that rewards problem solving and teamwork.

The program includes educational trainings, a mentor, and opportunities to secure a graduate position after the internship based on performance.

Qualifications

• Current university student graduating between September 2027 - July 2028 in Computer Science, Engineering, or related tech field.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Proficient experience in a programming language (Java or C++ preferred).
• Strong analytical skills and interest in solving complex problems programmatically.
• Desire to collaborate with technical and non-technical teammates in a dynamic environment.
• Interest in the Financial Markets; previous knowledge is NOT required.
• Must be able to start internship on June 7, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Work on meaningful and challenging projects with potential to impact our business.
• Participate in classroom-based training covering an overview of financial markets, IMC technology and coding fundamentals.
• Build connections with traders and technologists in a problem-solving, collaborative environment.
• Engage in professional development sessions to envision your future at IMC.
• Attend a full schedule of events and social activities during the summer to get to know your cohort and IMCers.
