Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Client Quantitative Analyst to support analytical work across lines of business, leveraging SQL, SAS, Python, and Spark to transform data into actionable insights for decision makers. You will collaborate with business partners to deliver timely analyses and communicate findings effectively.

You will also apply quantitative methods to enhance analytics capabilities, support BSA/AML compliance, and improve risk assessment while maintaining data quality and adherence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in finance, math/statistics, computer science or another quantitative field
• Coursework in finance, math/statistics and/or computer science
• 2+ years of experience in applied data science or quantitative research or related role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong technical writing and ability to communicate quantitative topics to non-technical audiences
• Ability to manipulate data from structured and unstructured sources
• Experience extracting and merging data from different database environments, including Hadoop
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced high-consequence environment

Responsibilities

• Supports the extraction of data using languages such as SQL, SAS, Python, or Spark/Scala and works with relational and non-relational databases
• Connects provisioned data across sources and transforms it into meaningful values and insights
• Performs quantitative techniques and analysis on customer, transaction, and performance data with guidance from analysts and supervisors
• Communicates complex subjects clearly to non-technical and technical partners using PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Tableau
• Maintains quality checks on analysis output and escalates data inconsistencies to leadership
• Follows established workflows and documentation standards for business continuity
• Independently conducts quantitative analytics and develops new analytic processes as needed
• Applies methods to support BSA/AML compliance programs
