Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in finance, math/statistics, computer science or other quantitative field.
• Coursework in finance, math/statistics and/or computer science.
• 2+ years of experience in applied data science or quantitative research or related role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong technical writing, communication and presentation skills; ability to explain quantitative topics to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manipulate data from structured and unstructured sources.
• Experience extracting and merging data from different database environments, including Hadoop.

Responsibilities

• Supports extraction of data using languages such as SQL, SAS, Python, or Spark/Scala across on-premise and hybrid platforms.
• Connects provisioned data across sources and transforms data into meaningful insights.
• Performs quantitative analysis on customer, transaction, and performance data and delivers actionable insights.
• Follows required research and analytics processes to provide deliverables.
• Communicates complex subjects clearly using PowerPoint, Excel, and Tableau.
• Conducts quality checks on analysis outputs and escalates data issues to leadership.
• Follows documentation requirements to ensure business continuity.
• Document and communicate quantitative methods to stakeholders.
