Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an analytics professional to support data-driven projects within a line of business. You will leverage databases to acquire client and performance data, transform it into insights, and present findings to leaders to enable informed decisions.

Responsibilities include data extraction across sources, quantitative analysis, and clear communication of results to both technical and non-technical partners, using tools like PowerPoint, Excel, and Tableau.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in finance, math/statistics, computer science or other quantitative field.
• 2+ years of experience in applied data science or quantitative research or related role.
• Coursework in finance, math/statistics and/or computer science.
• Ability to manipulate data from structured and unstructured sources.
• Experience extracting and merging data from different database environments, including Hadoop.

Responsibilities

• Supports the extraction of data using SQL, SAS, Python, or Spark/Scala; works with on-premise and hybrid platforms.
• Connects provisioned data across multiple sources and derives meaningful insights.
• Performs quantitative analysis on customer, transaction, and performance data with guidance from analysts.
• Communicates complex data outputs to business partners using PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Tableau.
• Ensures data quality and escalates inconsistencies to leadership.
• Documents and adheres to quality workflow and documentation standards.
