Job summary

Forgent Power Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Quality Test Engineer to develop, document, and execute production test procedures for electromechanical assemblies. You will design test fixtures, troubleshoot failures, and drive improvements to reliability and efficiency.

The role requires 3–6 years in test engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. You will operate in a standard office environment with manufacturing exposure and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing) or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3–6 years in test engineering, manufacturing, or production support for electromechanical systems.
  • Proficiency with test equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Test Development: Create, document, and maintain production test procedures and acceptance criteria for assemblies. Interpret drawings, schematics, and engineering orders.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify root causes of failures, provide technical assistance to manufacturing teams, and implement corrective actions.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze test data to reduce test time, improve test coverage, and enhance product reliability.
  • Compliance: Ensure products and processes comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear records of test results, nonconformances, and calibration data. Document processes and clearly communicate findings to technical and non-technical staff.
