Job summary

States Manufacturing Corporation is seeking a Quality Test Engineer to develop, document, and execute test procedures ensuring products meet quality standards and manufacturing specs. The role includes designing test fixtures, troubleshooting failed assemblies, and driving process improvements for reliability and efficiency.

The candidate will interpret drawings, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing) or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3–6 years in test engineering, manufacturing, or production support for electromechanical systems.
  • Proficiency with test equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Test Development: Create, document, and maintain production test procedures and acceptance criteria for assemblies.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify root causes of failures, provide technical assistance to manufacturing teams, and implement corrective actions.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze test data to reduce test time, improve test coverage, and enhance product reliability.
  • Compliance: Ensure products and processes comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear records of test results, nonconformances, and calibration data. Document processes and clearly communicate findings to technical and non-technical staff.
