Job summary

Industrious Ventures seeks an engineer to design rapid test equipment for qualification and acceptance testing of electrical hardware. You will partner with design engineers to develop test plans, own test-bed design, and build hardware and software to validate new products.

You will integrate with environmental test equipment, simulate customer requirements, and streamline production tests with Build Engineering and Production teams, while applying first-principles thinking.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical design and production constraints.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, C#, or Java.
• Experience in electrical schematic layout and component selection.
• Hands-on debugging with test instruments (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers).
• Familiarity with DO-160, MIL-STD, or other qualification frameworks is a plus.
• Willingness to contribute across diverse manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop rapid test equipment for qualification testing of electrical hardware.
• Work with design engineers to define qualification test plans for hardware.
• Own test bed design and build, including schematics, PCBA layout, and hardware builds.
• Integrate test beds with environmental test equipment (thermal chambers, shakers, etc.).
• Develop software to operate the test bed and support qualification tests for new hardware.
• Build acceptance test solutions for production testing to optimize reliability and lead time.
• Collaborate with Build Engineering and Production to manufacture tests that are production-friendly.
• Evaluate product catalogs and assess factory design, manufacturing, and test capabilities.
