Qualifications

• Experience in welding, fabrication, metal working, or weld inspection.
• Laboratory equipment experience.
• 3+ years in high-volume manufacturing or quality.
• Equivalent education/experience accepted.
• Proven problem-solving ability.
• Proficient in Excel/PowerPoint/email for data management.
• Statistical process control or control charts.
• Destructive or non-destructive testing experience.
• Kaizen/continuous improvement experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• GD&T proficiency.
• Ability to stand 8–12 hours daily.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to walk, climb, stoop, kneel or crouch as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate tools to prepare cross section samples per Rivian specs.
• Capture cross sectional images using microscopes.
• Maintain organized data in Excel and report results via Jira.
• Use measuring tools like calipers and micrometers.
• Perform visual inspections and destructive testing as needed.
• Support manufacturing equipment and process capability analysis.
• Execute product and process validation and inspection plans.
• Assist and train department staff as needed.
• Identify and contain defective material.
• Contribute to Kaizen and quality improvement projects.
