Job summary

Amcor in Danville, VA seeks a Quality Inspector to support plastic film production. You will conduct in-process and final quality checks, verify conformance to specs, and document results to ensure product integrity.

You will assist with root cause investigations, calibrate inspection equipment, and review incoming materials while upholding safety and quality standards. Training provided in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of production process and how to correct quality issues on line.
• Basic computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets.
• Working knowledge of QA software.
• Ability to understand written work instructions and use lab equipment.
• Demonstrates a commitment to safety.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and leadership skills.
• Good understanding of overall plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Promotes safety first in all responsibilities and supports Amcor’s safety culture.
• Performs in-process and final quality inspections on assigned lines.
• Conducts testing including gauge/thickness measurement and seal integrity.
• Documents inspection and test results and flags non-conforming product.
• Communicates quality issues to Production Supervisors and QA Manager.
• Supports root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Calibrates and maintains quality inspection equipment.
• Reviews incoming raw material quality against specifications.
• Supports internal audits and ISO 9001 documentation.
• Trains production operators on basic quality checks.
