Job summary

Amcor Limited is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support the QA Manager in implementing the overall Quality System at the AFNA site. Responsibilities include verification testing, documenting results, quarantining non-conforming material, and maintaining calibration records to ensure products meet specifications.

The role emphasizes adherence to QA principles, use of handheld measuring devices, and training personnel in inspection methods to sustain high quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years' packaging industry experience preferred.
• At least 1–2 years as a quality technician required.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and operate testing instruments; wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform verification testing per specifications.
• Record results and file QC records.
• Quarantine non-conforming material and notify supervision.
• Audit data and release product from inspection.
• Maintain calibration system and perform calibrations.
• Assist QA Manager in procedures and quality records.
• Train personnel in inspection methods and QC requirements.
• Review documentation at shift huddles.
• Ensure material is bounded if out of spec.
