Job summary

Alfa Laval in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Quality Technician to oversee inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products to meet ASME and customer requirements. The role is onsite with daily QA duties, root-cause analysis, and non-conformity reporting. You will ensure calibration of QA equipment and support audits.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in heat exchanger QC, can read drawings, and communicates clearly with stakeholders to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in heat exchanger manufacturing quality control environment or a combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Clear communication and stakeholder engagement to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and lead by example
• Assess production area quality and product integrity per ASME, ITP, regulatory and company standards
• Identify non-conforming products and determine root causes
• Verify calibration and specifications of QA equipment
• Assist Leads and maintain compliance with procedures and audits
• Inspect welding activities and review post-weld reports and defect records
• Prepare Non-Conformity Reports and support audits for ASME compliance
