Job summary

Alfa Laval in Broken Arrow, OK is seeking a Quality Technician to oversee inspection and testing of materials, parts and products to ensure compliance with company quality standards, ASME code, and customer requirements. The role emphasizes calibration, test reporting, and adherence to regulators.

You will work on the shop floor, perform receiving inspections, and assist with internal and external ASME audits. A high school diploma or GED and 3+ years in heat exchanger QA are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college or technical school degree preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience in heat exchanger manufacturing quality control environment or a combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Attention to detail.
• Problem solving.
• Clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and lead by example to confront unsafe behavior.
• Assess quality and product integrity per ASME, customer ITP, regulatory and company standards.
• Identify products not meeting specifications and analyze root causes.
• Verify calibration and specifications of QA equipment.
• Instruct leads in production following procedures.
• Monitor and audit manufacturing conformance to standards.
• Place inventory on hold for non-conforming items and notify Quality Manager.
• Review records for completeness and justification of deficiencies.
• Have working knowledge of PT, MT and Visual Inspection.
• Understand WPS, PQR, WPQ and AWS – D1.1.
• Know ASME U1a and NBIC requirements.
• Inspect welding activities and review test reports and heat treat charts.
• Assist with audits for ASME compliance; perform receiving inspections and document results.
• Prepare Non-Conformity Reports when problems are detected.
