Job summary

Kerry Group is seeking a Quality Technician for our Owatonna, MN facility to ensure safety, quality, and compliance of products. You will conduct laboratory testing, monitor production quality, and support food safety initiatives across the plant.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, documentation, and collaboration with production teams. The position is on-site with a 4-day work week on the 2nd shift (4:00 pm - 2:30 am).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency required; associates or higher preferred.
• At least 1 year of food or chemical manufacturing experience and/or chemical testing
• Prior training in HACCP, SQF, CGMPs preferred
• Experience using SAP, MS and other manufacturing software

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test raw materials and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Document results and maintain accurate quality records.
• Review and disposition non-conforming products.
• Calibrate laboratory equipment and maintain supplies.
• Prepare and ship product samples to customers and other Kerry facilities.
• Support food safety, GMP, HACCP, allergen, regulatory, and customer requirements.
• Communicate quality concerns with production and leadership teams.

What You'll Do:

As a Quality Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of our products. You will conduct laboratory testing, monitor production quality, maintain accurate documentation, and support food safety initiatives throughout the plant. This position is ideal for detail-oriented individuals who enjoy problem-solving, working independently, and contributing to a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

• Conduct environmental monitoring and laboratory testing.
• Calibrate laboratory equipment and maintain supplies.
• Prepare and ship product samples to customers and other Kerry facilities.
• Support food safety, GMP, HACCP, allergen, regulatory, and customer requirements.
• Assist with quality investigations, special projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate quality concerns and work closely with production and leadership teams.

What We Look For:

• High School diploma or equivalency required, Associates of Scienceor higher degreeand/or 2 years of related experience preferred.
• At least 1 yr. of food or chemical manufacturing experience, chemical testing and analysis role preferred.
• Prior training in HACCP, SQF, CGMP's preferred.
• Utilization of SAP, MS and other manufacturing software.
• Ability to read, understand and follow laboratory, sensory and physical testing protocols and methods.
• Ability to work in a temperature controlled, manufacturing environment.

The hiring range for this position is $21.00-$22.00 per hour.
