Job summary

Kerry is hiring a Production Sanitation Technician for our Owatonna, MN facility. You’ll join a fast-paced operation focused on sanitation, safety and quality in a nutraceutical ingredients environment.

You'll work with production and maintenance teams, perform daily to scheduled sanitation tasks, and ensure compliance with GMP and HACCP standards. Benefits include competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 18+ requirement.
• Manufacturing sanitation, food or chemical production, or related experience preferred.
• Chemical handling experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
• Basic math and problem‑solving skills.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Pallet jack or forklift experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP preferred.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and team‑oriented; able to work independently.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitizing production equipment and plant areas on set schedules.
• Performing CIP/COP cleaning on tanks, pipes, and equipment.
• Safely handling and documenting sanitation chemicals.
• Removing trash and debris to maintain a clean, safe workplace.
• Operating pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided).
• Completing sanitation logs and following GMP, SSOP, HACCP, and safety standards.
• Working with a team that values safety, quality, and accountability.

What You'll Do

The Production Sanitation Technician plays a critical role in food safety, quality, and workplace cleanliness. You'll work closely with production and maintenance teams, performing daily, weekly, and scheduled sanitation activities in compliance with company, customer, and government standards. Join our sanitation team and help keep a fast-paced food production facility clean, safe, and running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities include

• Cleaning and sanitizing production equipment and plant areas using set schedules
• Performing CIP/COP cleaning on tanks, pipes, and equipment
• Safely handling and documenting sanitation chemicals

The hiring rate for this position is $20.50 per hour.
