Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a Laboratory Quality Technician in Arlington, TX, to maintain quality control processes, run tests on production batches, and record results to ensure products meet specifications. You will interpret data and guide production on batch adjustments to meet customer requirements.

This role includes night shift duties, exposure to confidential information, and opportunities to participate in ISO and Safety System initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• At least 1 year of experience in a quality control laboratory.
• Associate degree (or higher) in Chemistry required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure tests meet specifications before proceeding to the next production step.
• Enter batch data into the electronic batch records system.
• Generate paperwork per customer specifications.
• Gather and send customer samples as required.
• Utilize appropriate computer systems to ensure effective testing of products.
• Determine disposition of non-conforming finished goods.
• Place non-conforming material on hold as needed.
• Support ISO Management Systems and Safety Systems.
• Maintain inventory of lab supplies.
• Identify and communicate product issues to other departments.
• Create, maintain, and update SOPs for Quality Department to meet ISO requirements.
• Assist in training of other lab technicians as needed.
