Job summary

Morgan Truck Body in Plainfield, CT is seeking a Quality Technician for 1st shift to ensure each unit meets exacting sales agreements and engineering specs. You’ll inspect, verify, and coordinate with production to prevent defects before the truck leaves the line. You’ll lead a safety‑conscious team, drive continuous improvement, and train teammates on quality standards while maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in manufacturing or QA environments.
• Strong communication skills to lead and collaborate.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and basic computer tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify each unit against sales agreements and specs.
• Lead teammates to tackle rework and maintain quality.
• Conduct in-process audits with production supervisors to catch defects.
• Perform final inspection ensuring trucks meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to hit on-time delivery and budget goals.
• Own the quality process from production to release.
• Train and inspire the team on quality standards.
• Champion safety by enforcing policies and onboarding new team members.
• Keep workspace clean, organized and safe.
• Step up to support the team and management.
