Morgan Truck Body in Plainfield, CT is looking for a Production Associate for 1st shift. The role involves hands-on assembly of full truck bodies, reading blueprints, and operating basic shop tools to ensure safe, quality builds.

You will perform cutting, fabrication, assembly, tool operation, and routine quality checks while adhering to safety policies. Growth opportunities exist as most leaders are promoted from within.

Qualifications

• Basic math, measurement, and computer skills.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry and electrical assembly principles.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, work orders, specifications, and safety requirements with accuracy.
• Cut wood and metal to precise specifications using saws, shears, and other equipment.
• Build and fasten components using bolts, screws, rivets, clips, and other hardware.
• Safely and efficiently operate pneumatic and hand tools.
• Set up equipment and perform preventive maintenance to keep production moving.
• Inspect finished products to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met.
• Complete required safety and quality checks to maintain a reliable work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and help create a safe workplace for everyone.
