Job DescriptionQuality Technician II – PultrusionLocation: Fife, WACompany: Milgard Windows & DoorsSchedule: Monday–Friday 2:00 PM – 10:30 PMCompensation: $24.00/hour–$30.00/hour (Depending on Experience) + $2.00/hour Swing Shift DifferentialPosition SummaryMilgard Windows & Doors is seeking a Quality Technician II to support pultrusion manufacturing operations at our Fife, WA facility. This role is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing processes and finished products meet established quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements. The position plays a critical role in supporting production through inspection, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with company quality systems.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform in-process and final inspections of pultruded products, including dimensional checks, surface finish evaluation, and structural integrity assessmentsConduct visual inspections to verify product qualityMonitor pultrusion line operations to ensure adherence to quality standards and process parametersAnalyze inspection and test data to identify trends, nonconformances, and opportunities for improvementAccurately document inspection results using quality systems, reports, and logsInvestigate quality issues, support root cause analysis, and assist with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Maintain documentation and records to support internal and external auditsEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, as applicable)Collaborate with production, engineering, and leadership teams to resolve quality-related issuesProvide guidance and training support to Quality Technician I team membersQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred2–5 years of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing, ideally within pultrusion or composite materialsWorking knowledge of pultrusion processes, fiberglass/resin systems, and composite manufacturing methodsExperience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and testing equipmentFamiliarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001 or comparable standardsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specificationsSkills & CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and analytical mindsetEffective problem-solving and root cause analysis skillsClear communication and ability to collaborate across teamsProficiency with basic computer applications and quality data systemsAbility to perform effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentWorking ConditionsManufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and composite materialsFrequent standing and occasional lifting requiredUse of personal protective equipment (PPE) is requiredWhat We OfferAt MITER Brands, we invest in your health, wealth, and wellness.
