Job summary

DHL is seeking a Quality Technician who will report directly to the Quality Supervisor and Quality Lead and will assist in conducting inbound and damage audits using iAuditor. This role repairs damaged units, assists with product record management and unit scrapping, maintains accurate department inventory, and ensures compliance with DHL safety policies and procedures at all times.

This role will also assist operations and inventory as needed and help with special projects outside of normal job

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Forklift operator certificate within the first 30 days of employment.
• Associate degree or equivalent in related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Quality audits, inspections and documentation.
• Perform daily quality assurance activities as required or directed by management.
• Monitor and report level of QMS implementation, compliance and effectiveness through audit activities, observation, review of quality metrics and customer feedback.
• Assist QA training for new and existing associates.
• Assist coordination of QA license, permit and registration activities.
• Work with Quality Assurance, Ops Performance and Process Improvement teams to progress Quality initiatives.

Job description

The Quality Technician will report directly to the Quality Supervisor and Quality Lead and will assist in conducting inbound and damage audits using iAuditor. This role is responsible for repairing damaged units within the STX Quality Departments, assisting with product record management and unit scrapping processes, maintaining accurate inventory within the department, and ensuring compliance with all DHL safety policies and procedures at all times. This role will also be required to asssist operations and inventory when needed and assist with special projects outside of their normal job functions.

Role Purpose

Execute assigned tasks to support establishment, maintenance, alignment and continual improvement of the QA System. Responsible for day-to-day Quality Assurance activities to ensure compliance with governmental regulations, customer requirements, quality assurance policies and procedures and accommodating requests for support.

Key Accountabilities

Required Education and Experience

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of forklift training program with the first 30 days of employment
• Associate degree or equivalent in related field of study, preferred
