Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas seeks a Quality Technician I for Huntley, IL. The role operates on the 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) with a base pay of $23.64/hour plus a $0.50 shift differential, totaling $24.14/hour.

You will monitor product quality, record inspection results, and quarantine defects to ensure compliance with standards. Responsibilities include performing in-process inspections, collecting measurements, maintaining quality records, and communicating findings to the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• At least one year of production line experience.
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Strong written and verbal communication; basic math and statistics understanding.
• Ability to read, understand and follow inspection control plans and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production processes to ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
• Perform in-process inspections according to inspection control plans.
• Collect and record dimensional measurements and other quality data.
• Visually inspect product samples to identify defects or inconsistencies.
• Identify and document visual defects and workmanship concerns.
• Verify packing and inspection standards are followed.
• Review and follow job-specific inspection control plans.
• Quarantine nonconforming or potentially defective products as procedures.
• Communicate findings to Production and Quality personnel.
