Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas in Waco, Texas, is seeking a Quality Technician I to ensure customer quality expectations are met. You will conduct offline testing, accurately enter quality data, and collaborate across multiple teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work rotating shifts with occasional overtime. A high school diploma or GED is preferred; manufacturing experience will be considered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Experience or ability to use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Conduct off-line testing to confirm products meet customer specifications.
• Accurately enter quality data into customized data sheets and analyze trends over time.
• Interact with machine operators to raise awareness of defects and document corrective actions when needed.
• Maintain lab data filing systems and physical retention storage.
• Work collaboratively across departments throughout the plant.
• Assist in analyzing quality metrics, internal rejections, process capability data, and customer feedback.
• Ensure customer returns are checked in accurately and on time.
• Participate actively in quality initiatives.
• Participate actively on at least one safety team.
