Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Quality Technician I to analyze quality problems, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions across production lines in Centerville, IA. The role emphasizes calibration, inspection, and continuous improvement within ISO 17025 standards.

You will train and collaborate with production teams, run quality checks, and document findings to ensure customer specifications are met and product quality remains high.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years’ manufacturing experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with teams.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Fully understand Job Reports requirements and ensure all are met.
• Address customer concerns and provide solutions.
• Educate production team on quality control issues and improve safety and product quality.
• Assist with process checklists and coordinate quality inspections.
• Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of all cases prior to shipment.
• Ensure refrigeration components and measurements in process meet specs.
• Create corrective actions to ensure products meet specifications.
• Record all issues/defects in the data base.
• Create and interpret quality charts (Pareto and SPC).
• Conduct process audits to ensure methods, machinery, and raw materials comply with standards.
• Use inspection equipment: tape measure, caliper, Inficon leak tester, Hipot stand tester, PosiTest thickness.
