Job summary

Maker’s Pride, LLC is seeking a Quality Tech to ensure food safety within the Quality Monitoring Scheme and to maintain regulatory, customer, and company quality initiatives.

You will perform hourly quality checks on production lines, address discrepancies, and ensure products meet customer and legal standards. The role requires attention to detail, basic math, and teamwork on a manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Post High School education preferred.
• 3 months of QA Technician experience required.
• Preferred 1 year of QA Technician or related experience.
• Must have good attention to detail and be able to spot defects on fast-moving production lines.
• Must be able to gain a basic understanding of how different machinery operates as it relates to product quality.
• Good verbal and written communication; Spanish is a plus.
• Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations including fractions, ratios and percentages.
• Must maintain good interpersonal communications and work collaboratively with others.
• Experience with MS Office Suite is needed.
• Follow all safety processes and procedures set forth by site leadership.

Responsibilities

• Perform hourly quality checks on production lines (often 3 lines).
• Report discrepancies to Supervisor or Quality Manager (HACCP, Allergen, Sanitation, GMP, Foreign Material, Hold).
• Ensure products meet legal and customer requirements as per Bluebook.
• Complete paperwork daily.
• Maintain 5-S and keep areas clean.
• Keep operation data confidential.
• Maintain instrumentation and store samples properly.
• Follow Hold Procedures for non-conforming materials.
• Perform HACCP and Preventive Controls checks as needed.
• Assist in test runs and product trials.
• Perform other audits or inspections as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
