Job summary

Maker’s Pride, LLC is seeking a Quality Tech responsible for ensuring food safety elements within the Quality Monitoring Scheme are met and regulatory, customer, and company quality initiatives are upheld.

The role includes hourly production-line QA checks across multiple lines, reporting discrepancies, ensuring compliance with the Bluebook, and maintaining clean, organized work areas. Strong attention to detail and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have good attention to detail and be able to spot defects on fast-moving production lines.
• Must be able to gain a basic understanding of how different machinery operates as it relates to quality of product.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; speaking, writing, and understanding Spanish is a plus.
• Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations, including fractions, ratios and percentages.
• Must be able to maintain good interpersonal communications and work collaboratively with coworkers and superiors.
• Experience with MS Office Suite is needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform Quality checks on production lines hourly, across multiple lines.
• Raise discrepancies with the QMS to Supervisor or Quality Manager.
• Ensure product meets legal and customer requirements per Bluebook.
• Complete daily paperwork accurately and timely.
• Maintain 5-S and keep work areas clean.
• Label, store, and organize samples and retentions.
• Follow Hold Procedures for non-conforming materials.
• Perform HACCP and Preventive Controls checks as needed.
• Assist in test runs and new product trials.
• Perform other audits or inspections as required.
