Job summary

Maker’s Pride, LLC is seeking a Quality Technician I for a 3rd shift (10:45 PM – 7:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday) with weekend work. The role ensures food safety across the Quality Monitoring Scheme, meeting regulatory, customer, and internal quality initiatives.

Responsibilities include hourly quality checks across multiple lines, documenting results, and communicating discrepancies to supervisors. Preferred candidates have QA experience, attention to detail, and basic math skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Post High School education preferred.
• 3 months of experience as a Quality Assurance Technician is required.
• 1 year of experience as QA Technician or in a technical department is preferred.
• Good attention to detail and ability to spot defects on fast-moving lines.
• Ability to understand machinery operation related to product quality and adjustments.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.
• Basic math including fractions, ratios and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality checks on production lines hourly, often overseeing multiple lines.
• Report discrepancies with QMS to Supervisor or Quality Manager (HACCP, Allergen, Sanitation, GMP, Foreign Material, HOLD).
• Ensure products meet legal and customer requirements per Set Up Sheet.
• Complete daily paperwork accurately and timely.
• Maintain 5-S and keep work areas clean.
• Keep operation information confidential.
• Maintain instrumentation and equipment.
• Label, store, and organize samples and retentions.
• Follow Hold Procedures for non-conforming materials or product.
• Perform HACCP and Preventive Controls checks.
• Assist in test runs and new product trials as needed.
• Conduct other audits or inspections as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
