Job description

Position: Quality Technician I

Location: Gastonia, NC
Wage: $21.58/hr
Shift: Second shift 3pm-11pm

*Must be willing and flexible to work overtime when needed.*

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality through problem-solving, measuring critical variables, and maintaining quality records. You will have the authority to stop operations if processes do not meet established standards and seek assistance as needed.

What you'll be doing:

1. Conduct offline testing for products.
2. Complete customer feedback promptly, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
3. Analyze customer feedback for trends and opportunities for improvement.
4. Participate in corrective and preventive action processes.
5. Assist in process capability studies.
6. Train plant personnel in GIQ quality systems.
7. Maintain customer property and document control processes.
8. Document Certificates of Analysis (COA) and Certificates of Conformance (COC) as required.
9. Apply quality concepts, tools, and statistical basics; interpret data and information.
10. Perform basic inspection and testing, including sampling plans.
11. Understand and conduct quality audits using various tools and techniques.

• You work quickly while maintaining high craftsmanship and attention to detail.
