Qualifications

Job description

Position: Quality Technician I

Location: Gastonia, NC

Wage: $21.58/hr

Shift: Second shift 3pm-11pm

*Must be willing and flexible to work overtime when needed.*

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for problem solving to ensure customer quality expectations are met. This includes measuring critical product/process variables, maintaining records, and using information for continuous improvement. You have the authority to stop operations if processes are outside established limits or specifications and seek assistance.

What you’ll be doing:
  1. Conduct offline testing for products.
  2. Ensure timely completion of customer feedback, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
  3. Analyze customer feedback for trends and opportunities for improvement.
  4. Participate in corrective and preventive action processes.
  5. Assist in process capability studies as needed.
  6. Train plant personnel in GIQ quality systems.
  7. Maintain customer property and process documentation.
  8. Document Certificates of Analysis (COA) and Certificates of Conformance (COC).
  9. Apply quality concepts, including statistical tools, and interpret data.
  10. Perform basic inspection and testing, including sampling plans.
  11. Conduct quality audits using various tools and techniques.

  • You can lift up to 25 lbs as needed.

  • You work quickly while maintaining craftsmanship and attention to detail.
