Shift Details

Hours: 2nd shift (Mon - Thurs / 3:30 pm - 2:00 am)

Role Summary

The Packaging Technician 1 & 2 are responsible for detecting and identifying defect trends during product inspection, performing labeling activities, and verifying product and diluent vial labeling for accuracy. Responsibilities include inspecting final container products, documenting tasks, maintaining department cleanliness, adhering to safety policies, and meeting visual inspection certification standards.

Additional Duties

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot packaging equipment
• Package products manually, inspect for defects, and conduct counts
• Handle materials and operate equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts
• Set up and operate label verification systems and other packaging machinery

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Effective team collaboration, ability to pass vision tests, identify product defects per PDA Lexicon, and focus during tasks are essential.

Minimum Requirements

Tech 1: High School Diploma; packaging inspector/technician experience preferred. Tech 2: HS Diploma; 1-year packaging inspector/label verification experience, preferably in pharma/biotech. Must work in a manufacturing environment with rotating shifts, exposure to biological fluids, chemicals, noise, and extreme temperatures. Personal protective equipment required. Physical demands include standing, lifting, reaching, and manual dexterity.
