Job summary

MITER Brands is seeking a Quality Technician I to monitor the production process and ensure products meet quality standards. You will perform inspections, document results, and support continuous improvement to enhance product quality and efficiency.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma and 2–3 years in quality assurance; familiarity with measurement tools and basic computer skills; and the ability to work independently or on a team in a warehouse environment.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to learn Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Great interpersonal skills are essential to operate in and maintain a team environment.
  • Great communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • ASQ Quality Inspector or ASQ Quality Technician desired.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine quality inspections on products and materials throughout the production process.
  • Utilizes various measurements and tests equipment to perform capability studies; documents process performance as required daily.
  • Document and report inspection results, identifying any deviations or defects.
  • Assist in the implementation of quality control procedures and improvement initiatives.
  • Assist production workers on audits, inspections, and calibrations as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and quality assessments.
  • Work closely with other team members to achieve quality goals and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Demonstrate MITER Brands Guiding Principles in all business interactions.

JOB TITLE: Quality Technician I

DEPARTMENT: Manufacturing Excellence

REPORTS TO: Quality Supervisor

CLASSIFICATION: Hourly (Non-Exempt)

SHIFT: 1st Shift

SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL: No

PAY GRADE: 3

SCHEDULE: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Education / Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of previous experience in quality assurance or a related field.

Work Environment

Primarily operates in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.

Requires adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.

Working Conditions
  • Full-time position with standard working hours; occasional overtime may be required during peak periods.
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient operations.
