Job summary

Concepts NREC is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to ensure products and materials meet quality standards through inspection, testing and thorough documentation. The role supports continuous improvement and customer satisfaction on site in a manufacturing environment.

You will read technical drawings, perform dimensional inspections using CMMs and gauges, maintain inspection records, and prepare FAI/PPAP documentation. Experience with ISO 9001/AS9100 is valued.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Identify, document and report non-conformities or defects.
• Capable of operating measuring equipment and performing inspections.
• Experience with CMMs and Calypso software is a plus.
• Familiarity with AS9102, PPAP and First Article processes.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality systems.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Quality Technician to join our team. The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that products and materials meet established quality standards through inspection, testing, and documentation. This role plays a critical part in maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards
• Identify, document, and report non-conformities or defects
• Perform dimensional inspections using CMM, micrometers, height gages, optical comparator, profilometer, and a variety of other measurement equipment as needed
• Capable of operating a Zeiss CMM with Calypso
• Complete and maintain accurate inspection records and reports
• Review process documentation and material certifications to verify compliance with all applicable requirements
• Prepare final inspection reports and AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports, and PPAP’s
• Assist in calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and/or ERP systems and quality management software
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred
• Experience in quality inspection or manufacturing quality control preferred

Abilities

• Capable of using advanced measuring instruments and quality software (e.g., CMM, SPC tools)
• Understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100, or other applicable quality management systems
• Ability to interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with ERP and QMS systems is a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed
• Manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination for precise measurements

The compensation range posted represents the full salary range for the role. Actual pay will be determined based on a candidate’s experience, skills, and the position level ultimately offered.
