Pay Range: $25.00 – $29.00 per hour

The Role
As a Quality Technician II, you will drive manufacturing excellence by developing and improving processes to ensure we exceed customer expectations. This role combines hands‑on inspection, data evaluation, and mentorship on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspection & Release: Perform dimensional verification for PPAP and First Article parts; ensure shipping documentation meets customer requirements.
- Advanced Equipment: Program and operate FARO and Micro‑Vu measurement equipment.
- Technical Support: Assist the production floor with documentation interpretation and teaching measurement techniques.
- Auditing & Metrics: Conduct internal process audits and collect/present quality metrics.
- Continuous Improvement: Establish corrective actions for customer complaints and internal failures.
- Calibration: Develop procedures and calibrate equipment per ISO standards.
- Leadership: Prioritize QA lab tasks and provide on‑the‑job training for new inspectors.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years in a metal fabrication environment under a continuous improvement QMS.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of GD&T concepts; FARO/Micro‑Vu programming desired.
- Education: Associate degree in a related field preferred; Quality Technician Certification is a plus.
- Skills: Proficient in shop math (fractions, decimals, ratios) and blueprint reading.
- Physical: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and maintain high‑focus vision for detailed inspections.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Release product for shipping by ensuring proper documentation/certifications are provided as outlined by customer requirements
- Understand and apply basic GD&T concepts
- Proficient in dimensional verification of PPAP and first article parts
- Provide direct support to the production floor by assisting with interpretation/development of manufacturing related documentation and providing or teaching proper measuring techniques
- Provide technical inspection of manufactured and raw materials at “receiving” as outlined by the process
- Collect data, evaluate, and present quality metrics
- Program and operate FARO & Micro‑Vu measurement equipment proficiently
- Attend department meetings as required
- Prioritize work order tasks for QA lab
- Audit internal processes including dimensional workmanship and documentation verification
- Develop calibration procedures and provide calibration of measuring equipment as outlined by ISO standards
- Work to establish closed loop cause and corrective action in reaction to customer complaints and internal process failures
- Trained and efficient in all aspects of the position
- Work quickly, efficiently, and without quality issuesProvide on-the-job training for new quality inspectors with daily responsibilities
