Job summary

RMCI, Inc. in Reno, NV is seeking a Quality Technician to support the QA/QC Department for civil/structural projects.

You will ensure installations meet National and City codes and customer specifications, driving quality across commercial, industrial and water treatment facilities. The role requires working in a fast-paced construction environment, coordinating inspections, documenting results, and maintaining quality plans.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in industrial electrical industry.
• Effective written and oral communication with supervisor and team.
• Strong working relationships with project management and crew.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and industry standards.
• Attention to detail and follow-through.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook; self-motivated and organized.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort working at various heights and outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of project scope, quality requirements, and codes.
• Coordinate with operations to schedule inspections and tests.
• Prepare inspection/test reports and maintain quality files.
• Verify compliance with contract documents, codes, and standards.
• Interpret codes to determine work compliance.
• Assist with test documentation and planning meetings.
• Organize quality documents per procedures.
• Identify and correct nonconforming work per quality plan.
• Perform receiving inspection of materials and equipment as needed.
• Participate in safety and site activities related to QA/QC.
