Job summary

Gray Construction in Reno, NV is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support project teams by executing inspections, audits, and documentation to ensure construction activities comply with approved plans, specs, and the QMS. This role emphasizes learning, applying, and consistently executing quality processes in the field.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s or technical degree, 2–3 years of construction or quality experience, and is willing to travel up to 100%.

Qualifications

• Degree or technical/associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of construction or quality experience preferred.
• Government Certified Quality Technician (CQT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as onsite quality representative on one or multiple projects under the direction of quality leadership.
• Assist in reviewing and managing submittals during preconstruction and coordination meetings; verify submittals and installations.
• Monitor construction processes to identify potential quality issues and support timely resolution.
• Execute and document inspections, audits, and testing per ITPs and project plans.
• Ensure drawings, specifications, submittals, and quality documents are accurate and maintained.
• Identify, document, and track quality observations and coordinate corrective actions with Site Quality Manager.
