Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive Company in Tonganoxie, KS is seeking a Quality Technician - Chemist on 2nd or 3rd shift to own the analytical testing process from raw materials to finished products. Initially, you will work the day shift for 2–3 months to immerse yourself in processes and lab standards, then transition to your permanent shift schedule.

The role emphasizes compliance with EOHS and HACCP, laboratory methods, and SAP data handling.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemistry, Food Science or related field.
• Ability to work any schedule, including weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safety EOHS compliance and quality systems.
• Analyzes ingredients and finished product for moisture, fat, protein, ash, and minerals.
• Performs or assists in testing (peroxide value, free fatty acids, mycotoxins).
• Maintains laboratory equipment and calibration schedules.
• Supports SAP processes and data requests for audits.
