Job summary

C-P Flexible Packaging is seeking a 3rd shift Quality Technician in the Buffalo, NY area to help ensure quality and safety across all production stages. You will monitor CCPs, verify documentation, and enforce correct processing and safety practices.

The role requires 1–2 years in a regulated setting, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Night shift availability and a team-oriented mindset are essential for fast-paced production environments.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in printing, food, or regulated industry with knowledge of cGMPs (21CFR 110/111/210/211).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office package software is essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and identify critical control points (CCP) within processes.
• Monitor processes and product food safety and quality throughout manufacturing.
• Document and file all relevant record logs and documentation.
• Ensure correct recipe guidelines are met during processing.
• Ensure employees follow all food safety and worker safety practices.
• Educate employees on quality expectations.
• Collect product samples for the Quality lab.
• Inspect in-process printing for quality and accuracy per customer specifications.
• Identify non-conformances and correct them in real time when feasible.
• Collaborate with Operations on presses, slitter, lamination, etc. for continuous improvement.
• Ensure paperwork is accurate and timely on production lines.

Job Functions & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Responsible for monitoring and identifying critical control points (CCP) within the processes.
• Responsible for monitoring processes and product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
• Responsible for the correct documentation and filing of all relevant record logs and Documentation.

• Perform inspections on in-process printing to ensure quality and accuracy of the print according to customer specifications.
• Identifying non-conformances and ensuring they are corrected “real time” when feasible.
• Working directly with Operations on the presses, slitter, lamination, etc. to identify areas for continuous improvement.
• Ensuring paperwork is accurate and filled out in a timely manner on the production lines.

Qualifications:

• Preferred 1-2 years’ experience in printing, food, or regulated industry with knowledge of cGMP’s (21CFR 110/111/210/211).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office package software is essential.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail is essential.
