Hours of Operation

2nd Shift: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm with a $1.00 shift differential

Job Summary

The Quality Technician ensures compliance with food safety standards within the Quality Monitoring Scheme, meeting all regulatory, customer, and company quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform hourly quality checks on production lines, managing multiple lines as assigned
• Report discrepancies related to HACCP, allergen programs, sanitation, GMP, foreign material, and hold procedures
• Ensure products meet legal and customer requirements as per Bluebook specifications
• Complete documentation accurately and promptly
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and samples
• Follow hold procedures for non-conforming materials
• Perform HACCP and preventive controls checks and assist with product trials
• Conduct audits and inspections as required
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; post-secondary education preferred
• Minimum 3 months experience as a Quality Assurance Technician; 1 year preferred
• Attention to detail and ability to identify defects quickly
• Basic understanding of machinery operation related to quality
• Good communication skills; Spanish proficiency is a plus
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations involving fractions, ratios, and percentages
• Experience with MS Office Suite
• Adherence to safety protocols

Physical and Work Environment

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and temperature variations
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and work for extended periods
• Willingness to work overtime and across shifts as needed

Sponsorship for work authorization is not available. Candidates must ensure they are legally authorized to work in the location of employment.

Compensation

Starting pay ranges from $19.00/hr for Technician I to $21.50/hr for Technician II, with shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Compensation depends on experience and location. Eligible for annual incentives and full benefits starting after 90 days.
