Qualifications

Job description

Title:

Quality Technician - 1st Shift

Location:

New Berlin, Wisconsin

Responsibilities:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive and may be expanded as necessary by management.

1. Conduct standardized tests on intermediate and finished food products to ensure compliance with standards regarding size, color, and flavor.
2. Check the metal detector for proper operation; report malfunctions.
3. Collect retention, microbiological, and control samples from raw materials and finished products.
4. Prepare microbiological sample composites and paperwork for laboratory pickup.
5. Examine and approve product labels before printing.
6. Place products on hold and assist with investigations as needed.
7. Complete daily paperwork as assigned.
8. Follow all safety and sanitation regulations (SQF, HACCP, GMPs, and company policies); report deficiencies.
9. Analyze quality data, identify issues, and help resolve manufacturing problems affecting quality.
10. Participate in cross-functional teams to address quality issues and improve processes.
11. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience as a quality technician (preferred).
• Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment (foods, pharma, etc.).
• Ability to perform tests such as viscosity, weight, and taste, and handle microbiological sampling.
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards (SQF, HACCP, GMPs).
• Ability to analyze quality data, identify issues, and assist in resolving manufacturing problems.
• Experience working on cross-functional teams.
