Job summary

Quanex in Minnesota seeks a Quality Manager to lead quality initiatives on-site at St. Cloud or Mounds View. You will partner with production and engineering to launch new products, resolve quality issues, and drive continuous improvement for cost reduction and on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and building a culture of quality with direct exposure to senior leadership. Travel to customer sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Quality or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality and at least 2 years of leadership experience.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
• Strong skills in using MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and execution of streamlined business systems that identify and resolve quality issues.
• Establish key measurable baseline standards and use them for audits of raw materials, processes, and products.
• Communicate and assist production management with external and internal quality issues.
• Conduct analyses or studies of new operations, techniques, machines, tools, or products and recommend changes or improvements.
• Record data relating to quality issues (audit reports, shortage reports, failure rates, timesheets).
• Travel to customer sites or other Quanex locations as needed.

Quanex is looking for aQuality Manager to join our team located onsite in St. Cloud, MN or Mounds View, MN.

As our Quality Manager, you'll be at the center of ensuring every product meets the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. You'll partner with production and manufacturing engineering teams to launch new products, solve complex quality challenges, and lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance performance, reduce costs, and support on-time delivery. Your ability to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and build a culture of quality will directly influence our success.

Salary: $80K to $115K annually, with bonus potential. Starting salary varies based on your experience.

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, hours may vary depending on business needs.

Your Credentials:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Quality or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality and at least 2 years of leadership experience.
• Strong skills in using MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
