Job summary

Sika is seeking Quality Technicians to join its Sealy, TX Roofing group. You will monitor quality, perform tests on in-process materials and finished goods, and support manufacturing by tracking quality parameters across shifts.

Responsibilities include recording lab results, producing color matches with spectrophotometric software, and ensuring data integrity in Excel/Access while maintaining a clean, safe lab workspace.

Qualifications

• High School Degree; Laboratory environment experience desirable.
• Experience with measurements and production processes is a plus.
• Familiarity with computerized testing equipment like balances, spectrophotometers, tensile testers is helpful.
• Knowledge of Windows software (Excel, Word, Access) and data entry accuracy.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are important.
• Attention to detail and precise data input are essential.

• Hourly observation and documentation of production processes and quality parameters.
• Perform acceptance tests on incoming raw materials and semi-finished materials.

• Maintain a clean and safe laboratory area.

Job Description

Sika is looking for Quality Technicians to join its growing team in Sealy, TX for the Roofing business. The main responsibilities of the Quality Technicians are to support the Quality Supervisor, monitor the quality of manufactured goods and incoming materials, maintain a quality record data base, and assist the manufacturing operation by monitoring specific quality related parameters. Looking for all shifts.

• Perform daily quality tests and inspections on in process materials and finished membranes
• Hourly observation and documentation of production processes and quality parameters
• Perform acceptance tests on incoming raw materials and semi-finished materials
• Formulate color matches for sales using spectrophotometric software
• Data entry of laboratory generated data using MS Excel and MS Access
• Maintain a clean and safe laboratory area.

Qualifications

• High School Degree
• Experience in laboratory environment, measurements, and production desirable
• Some experience with computerized testing equipment such as laboratory balances, tensile testers and spectrophotometers.
• Knowledge of Windows software, in particular Microsoft Excel, Word, Access
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Accuracy with data input and attention to detail
