Job summary

Sika Corporation is seeking Quality Technicians in Sealy, Texas for the Roofing business. You will support the Quality Supervisor, monitor the quality of manufactured goods and incoming materials, and maintain quality record data bases while assisting the manufacturing operation with quality parameters.

Looking for all shifts. Responsibilities include daily quality tests, documentation of production processes, testing incoming materials, color matching, and data entry using MS Excel/Access.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in laboratory environment and with measurements is desirable.
• Some experience with computerized testing equipment (balances, spectrophotometers, tensile testers).
• Knowledge of Windows software, especially Excel, Word and Access.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Accuracy with data input and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily quality tests and inspections on in process materials and finished membranes.
• Hourly observation and documentation of production processes and quality parameters.
• Perform acceptance tests on incoming raw materials and semi-finished materials.
• Formulate color matches for sales using spectrophotometric software.
• Data entry of laboratory generated data using MS Excel and MS Access.
• Maintain a clean and safe laboratory area.
