Job summary

Sika is seeking a qualified Production Manager for its new Roofing Facility in Sealy, TX. The role oversees safe operation, production schedules, and profitability, directing daily plant activities and implementing processes to maximize efficiency. Strong communication and experience in extrusion/web handling are essential for success.

The candidate will lead a team, manage equipment and facilities, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or related studies, or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in extrusion and web handling.
• Generalist with ability to delegate and follow up on timeliness and quality.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily plant operations
• Plan and maintain production schedule
• Measure and establish standards of performance including material quality yield, machine efficiency and downtime analysis
• Oversee the implementation of manufacturing projects
• Coach, mentor and develop the direct production employees
• Manage personnel and assist with interviewing, counseling, disciplinary actions, appraising performance and adherence to company policies and procedures within the legal statues
• Work with Director of Mfg and staff in recognizing and solving problems affecting production including schedule, quality and materials

Job Description

Sika is currently looking for a qualified Production Manager for it's new Roofing Facility in Sealy, TX.

The Production Manager is responsible for the oversight and safe operation of the production facility, meeting production schedules and profitability of the operating unit.

The successful candidate must be able to develop and implement processes and procedures and be expected to address and resolve challenges directly on the production floor. The Production Manager will be responsible for managing the utilization of equipment, facilities and personnel to obtain maximum efficiency and meet performance objectives.

The candidate needs to have excellent communication, organizational and writing skills, management skills, and knowledge about extrusion and web handling processes.
