Job summary

Polaris Inc. is seeking a Quality Technician to support production and ensure all products meet quality expectations. The role covers rework management, calibration compliance, traceability, and containment to maintain quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include creating rework instructions, conducting audits, managing calibration status, and collaborating with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine rework audits to verify adherence to approved rework instructions and quality standards.
  • Perform Line Side Critical Rework Audits to ensure critical rework activities are executed correctly and documented appropriately.
  • Manage calibration compliance by coordinating calibration activities and monitoring calibration status of measurement and testing equipment.
  • Audit and verify part traceability requirements to ensure conformance with company and customer standards.
  • Support and maintain Clean Build processes to ensure product quality and containment of nonconforming material.
  • Assist in managing and executing RMO activities, material sorts, and scrap review processes as required.
  • Place and remove quality holds on materials and products when necessary to prevent the use or shipment of nonconforming product.
  • Manage and administer the automated rework approval process, ensuring timely review, approval, and documentation of rework requests.
  • Support production teams by identifying quality concerns and assisting in the resolution of product and process issues.
  • Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to drive quality improvements.
  • Ensure all inspections, audits, and quality records are documented using established procedures and systems.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality, process efficiency, and compliance.

QUALITY TECHNICIAN DEPARTMENT:

JOB SUMMARY Provide support to production to ensure all products shipped to customers meet or exceed quality expectations. Support manufacturing operations through quality assurance activities, rework process management, calibration compliance, traceability requirements, and containment activities to maintain product quality and operational efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
  • Must be organized and able to track multiple tasks and priorities to completion.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent attendance and reliability record.
  • Ability to interpret quality standards, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems, auditing methods, and corrective action processes.
  • Understanding of part traceability requirements and nonconforming material control.
  • Experience with calibration management and quality documentation preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, process routings, bills of material, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of basic metrology equipment including calipers, height gauges, pin gauges, and related inspection tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other business systems such as AS-400, Intranet, and Reliance.
  • Willingness to participate in additional training as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Office and production floor environment. Frequent interaction with manufacturing personnel and production equipment. Exposure to a typical manufacturing environment including moving equipment, industrial vehicles, and production processes. Ability and willingness to work overtime as required by production schedules.

Base Pay Range

Base Pay Range: $24.84 - $29.68 Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. Visa sponsorship will not be provided. To qualify for this position, former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.
