Job summary

Polaris Huntsville is seeking an Inspector to perform inspection and measurement of parts and assemblies in the assigned area, documenting all inspections per procedures. You will support ORV product lines, collaborate with multiple departments to resolve issues, and help drive quality improvements while complying with production schedules.

Overtime may be required. The role requires a High School diploma or GED; AA degree or specialized training is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • AA degree or specialized training preferred.
  • Display communication and leadership skills, both written and verbally.
  • Working knowledge of computer operation, basic and advanced math, and statistical process control.
  • Be able to operate all critical measurement and test equipment.
  • Be able to interpret and understand blueprints, process routings, B.O.M. and various manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, or assist in the development or improvement of clear, concise inspection procedures to save time, prevent production of defective product, or in any other way improve the quality level of product.
  • Perform duties assigned by Supervisor.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as required and mandated by production schedules.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs.

  • Ability to bend, twist, turn, kneel, squat, and climb.

  • Stand and walk up to eight hours per day.

  • Work safely around moving equipment, power tools, and industrial vehicles.

  • It may be necessary to perform any of these functions up to eight hours a day.



SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE


  • High School diploma or GED required.

  • AA degree or specialized training preferred.

  • Display communication and leadership skills, both written and verbally.

POLARIS HUNTSVILLE INTERNAL PROMOTION / TRANSFER REQUIREMENTS


  • New Hires must have 1-year Continuous Service from Polaris Hire Date.

  • 6 Months Between Department Transfers or Promotions.

  • No Active Corrective Actions 2 or less Attendance Points.

  • Must have received a ‘Meets Expectation’ in the most recent performance review, if applicable.

  • Resume Required Interview Required Candidates already assigned to the work unit (Assembly, Weld, Materials, Quality, etc.) will be considered first.

  • Failure to attend a scheduled interview (No Show), without notice, will result in being ineligible for future roles for 6 months.

  • If selected for the position, you are required to move into the position upon the effective date.

  • If you are no longer interested in the position, you must withdraw prior to an offer being presented.

  • If unable to accept the position as expected, you will be ineligible for future roles for 1 year from the date of refusal.



Base Pay Range: $24.66 - $29.47
