Allegion in Kansas is seeking a detail-oriented Quality/Materials Specialist to support RMA processing, ECN/MCN change management, and nonconforming material workflows. You will inspect parts, determine disposition, record data, and maintain quality documentation in alignment with ISO 9001 standards.
You'll collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure timely resolution of discrepancies, perform audits, and uphold 5S practices while supporting safety and operational excellence

General Duties
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Familiarity with industry best practices outlined in MIL-STD-120 and AIAG MSA, preferred. Demonstrated application of Statistical Process Control methodology (SPC), or process capability, yield, productivity (lean) measurement tools.
EQUIPMENT SKILLS: Preference given to candidates with ability to program Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM); or experienced in the use of optical comparator, hardness gauge, height gauges, micrometers, sine bars, thread gauges, advanced optical, visual, or laser‑based measurement systems.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and/or the public. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees and peers.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations. Prefer ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, visually evaluate, and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently use hands to handle and feel. The employee must occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is expected to follow all safety guidelines and wear proper PPE where indicated.
