Atkore International in Hebron, OH is seeking a Quality Technician to join the quality team at the Capital Drive facility. The role focuses on inspecting incoming, in-process, and finished products to ensure 100% quality requirements and to record inspection data accurately.

You will initiate NCRs for defects, coordinate containment with the required teams, and support continuous improvement through audits and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Minimum 2 years as a quality inspector.
Good verbal and written communication.
Familiar with ISO9001 quality management.
Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

Perform random sampling inspection of incoming, in-process, and finished products to ensure 100% of quality requirements are met.
Verify the product after each changeover for compliance with product requirements.
Record and maintain all inspection information in the designated check sheet.
Initiate a Non-Conformance Report when a defective product condition is observed and coordinate containment and resolution with the responsible departments.
Monitor the status of product on hold and coordinate disposition with cross-functional teams.
Perform Layered Process Audit (LPA) to ensure process and product characteristics are met.
Collaborate with co-workers and supervisors to achieve site goals.
Adhere to all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions immediately.

Who we are looking for:

We are currently searching for a Quality Inspector to be based in Hebron Ohio @ our 250 Capital Drive Facility. Reporting to the Hebron Quality Manager.

Perform random sampling inspection of all incoming, in-process, and finished products to ensure 100% of quality requirements are met.
Ensure the product after each changeover is verified to ensure compliance with product requirements.
To record and maintain all inspection information in the designated check sheet.

What you'll do:

To record and maintain all inspection information in the designated check sheet.
To initiate a Non-Conformance Report when a defective product condition is observed, including updating the required log for traceability purposes. Follow up with department personnel responsible for the effective containment and resolution of the issue.
Monitor the status of product on hold and work with the cross-functional team to ensure disposition of material is performed promptly.
Perform Layered Process Audit (LPA) to ensure that all required process and product characteristics are being complied with.
Collaborate with co-workers and supervisors to achieve site goals.
Adhere to all safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions immediately.

What you'll bring:

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States continuously for the duration of employment without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.
Proven track record as a quality inspector for a minimum of 2 years.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Keen eye for details and has a passion for results and a facts-based approach.
Familiar with quality testing methods (e.g., vernier caliper, micrometer, hardness test, tension test, etc.).
Experience working in an ISO9001 Quality Management System-based organization.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

Within 3 months, you'll:

Complete your Atkore immersion program.

Gain an understanding of the training materials and procedures your team owns.

Within 6-months, you'll:

Identify ways to strengthen the team's commitment to Atkore.
Be planning, organizing, and supporting QA Programs
Achieve operational excellence, superior product, and customer satisfaction.

Within 12-months, you'll:

Perform UL and CSA Required Testing
Interacting with plant personnel on quality testing and inspections
Documenting NCRs and ICARs for nonconforming materials and processes

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $42,160 - $57,970. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
