Job summary

Wabtec in Germantown, MD is seeking a Quality Technical Adviser to lead quality improvements for assigned product lines, ensure conformance to drawings and specs, reduce defects, and drive measurable quality gains in manufacturing operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in quality/engineering and experience with PPAP, audits, Six Sigma, and strong statistical analytics using Excel, Minitab, SAS, and Access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 5 years of quality/engineering/manufacturing experience.
• Prior manufacturing operations experience.
• Experience with New Product Introduction and PPAP processes.
• Six Sigma training/certification, or equivalent quality training.
• Proficiency in Excel, Minitab, SAS, and Access for statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop strategies to meet quality objectives and reduce defects.
• Conduct internal and external quality audits to identify improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement CA/PA plans and action items.
• Oversee quality assurance processes, tests, and measurement systems.
• Support new product introduction and change management activities.
• Distribute quality data and drive process improvements across teams.
